Performance Experience: Played clarinet in the Oregon State University Symphonic Band 1974-78. Various musical groups throughout the Mid Willamette Valley. Education: North Salem High School Class of 1974, Bachelors Degree in Business Admin-Oregon State University Class of 1978. Has earned credentials from training taken with Fender Musical Instruments, Peavey Electronics & Yamaha Music Corporation. Dave also spent part of his musical career teaching music at ABC Music Co.

Name: Dave Higginbotham

Dave Higginbotham, guitar tech and guitarist, has been repairing and restoring fine musical instruments for many years; establishing his own TEMPLAR INSTRUMENT REPAIR business in 1990. After studying the piano in grammar school, Dave played saxophone and snare drum in junior high. He then went on to study music at CCSF and graduated from the Electronic Music Department under the tutelage of Jerry and Madeline Mueller. He studied woodcraft under Frank Lloyd Wright’s furniture maker Manuel Sandoval in 1968, and has worked in a cabinet shop locally. He made personal visits to Fender Musical Instruments in Fullerton, California to gain insight into the finer points of setting up solid body electric guitars. As a guitarist, Dave has played in over 25 different bands in Oregon and California. Dave takes extra care in setting-up all acoustic and electric stringed instruments at ABC Music, and is available for any and all guitar repairs and adjustments. He keeps his prices reasonable and always goes the full measure for the customer.
